Sunday will be your last chance to catch the comedy Captain and Co., which debuts at World & Eye Arts Center this Saturday at 8 p.m. The local play is written and directed by Helen Reynolds and chronicles three quirky characters -- Captain, Pip, and Og -- and their travels as they escape an "amorphous injustice." Starring Jean Minuchin, Irvana Mac, Mo Case, and Justin Case, Captain and Co. is one of a series of plays at World & Eye that focuses on social issues. It's a bare-bones production, with Three Stooges-style antics and a basic stage setup. The play has two acts and runs about 75 minutes with intermission. Light refreshments will be served.
Tickets cost $15 for the general public and $10 for World & Eye members. Showtimes are Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 4 p.m. The World & Eye Arts Center is located at 109 NW Fifth St. in Fort Lauderdale. Visit worldandeye.com, or call 954-540-9897.
