Delray Beach wrapped its Tastemakers event last week, and now it's Boca's turn to give its similarly-themed event a whirl. Tastemakers at Mizner Park is set for Tuesday, September 18, and Wednesday, September 19.
The two-day event is essentially a progressive dinner where participants can meander from spot to spot, sampling small bites, wine, cocktails, and other treats. Pay $30 for a VIP booklet and show it at participating restaurants to reap the rewards. The event starts at 6:30 p.m. both nights.
Participating restaurants and their featured dishes and drinks are subject to change but are scheduled as:
Tanzy -- tagliatelle bolognese and prickly pear sour sop margarita
Kapow! Noodle Bar -- chicken fried rice with an Asian sangria
The Cheese Course -- cheese and wine pairings
The Dubliner -- shepherd's pie, Guinness mac and cheese, and special black velvet
Truluck's Seafood, Steak & Crab House -- crab cake sliders and Poema Cava
Max's Grille -- shrimp ceviche with a Mionetto spritz
Racks Downtown Eatery-Tavern -- tuna tacos with Boca lemonade
Uncle Julio's Fine Mexican Food -- pineapple bacon guacamole and Julio's skinny guava 'rita
Villagio -- mini crab cakes and a bellini
