ABC's anticipated (well, to everyone but soap fans) foodie-themed talker, The Chew, is set to premiere Monday, September 26th at 1p.m.

Featuring five co-hosts (Top Chef's Carla Hall, What Not To Wear's Clinton Kelly, Italian mega-chef and Crocs-wearer Mario Batali, Iron Chef Michael Symon and Dr. Oz's daughter Daphne Oz, The Chew will bring to food what The View brings to current events...fun, topical discussion - but without Elizabeth Hasselbeck!

Seriously, we can't wait to see the first episode. The Chew brings foodie news into television mainstream (making us food bloggers slightly less crazy in the scheme of things).

And, with two bonifide chefs (Batali and Symon) on

the team, we're looking forward to food tips we can really use (plus if

the producers of The Chew read this, we're totally talented and always looking for some consulting opportunity - just saying).

If you want to see The

Chew in person, they're holding a sweepstakes. First prize is a

four-day/three-night all expenses trip to New York to catch a taping of

The Chew plus a $250 gift certificate to Eataly (which, by the way is a

spectacular festival of all things both Italian and edible). Enter here. By the way, if you win, can you please personally deliver our audition tape to the set?  Thanks!

Here's Carla Hall making the ultimate (and easy) pie crust:
