Halloween is less than a week away. You have no pumpkin and the kids are starting to beg you to go trick-or-treating.

That's why we did the dirty work for you and found the five best and most unique events equipped with hayride, haunted houses, and even pumpkin patches.

So stop wasting your time on silly matters like bills and budgets and focus on the little ghouls and goblins in your house!

1. Bedner's Farm Fresh Market 


What's cool about Bedners:


This farm fresh market is open year round but they've had special fall festivities during October. This weekend is your last chance to participate!


Activities include: 


Hayrides - $2

Haunted house - $5

Corn maze - free


There are also face painters, ice cream, caramel apples, food vendors, and arts and craft vendors for the kids.


Pumpkin patch: Yes, and they cost between $1 and $10.

2. Flamingo Road Nursery


What's cool about Flamingo Road Nursery: 


The Flamingo Road Nursery is known as a fresh food market during most of the year. They also host special events for holidays like Halloween. Come out for the final weekend of their Fall Fest during which you can participate in activities and even shop the harvest market.

Activities include: 


Horse-drawn hayrides - $4

Face painting - $4

Petting Zoo - Free

Paint-a-Pumpkin - free with purchase of a $4 pumpkin

Pumpkin patch: Yes. The pumpkins are arranged in a tropal setting that's very photographic. Pumpkin painting is free with the purchase of a $4 pumpkin, bigger pumpkins range from $6 to $28.

3. Spookyville in Yesteryear Village

What's cool about Spookyville: 


The Spookyville party is held at Yesteryear Village on the South Florida Fairgrounds. Kids are encouraged to wear their costumes and go trick-or-treating throughout this psuedo-village created by old homes and buildings that have been transported to the area over the years.

When they enter, kids are given a trick-or-treat bag that has a game piece inside. That game piece will lead them to one of 13 activity stations where they can receive candy and play games. The kids will get a special prize at the last station.

Activities include: 


Spooky (haunted) house, train rides, dragon ride, pony rides, and two bounce houses. Kids and families can also participate in activities like mummy wraps, a cake walk, and pumpkin bowling!

Admission: $5 for adults accompanying a child, $10 for children ages 3-14, children age 2 or younger get in free.

4. HarvestFest at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church

What's cool about HarvestFest: 


Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church is holding an entire festival for kids, families, and adults alike on Oct. 28. Admission is free but there will also be food trucks available so don't forget to bring cash.

Activities include: pie and chili contest, carnival games, carnival rides, hay rides, and more.

5. Marando Farms

What's cool about Marando Farms: 


Marando Farms isn't a typical Halloween event destination. The venue is typically a farmer's market specializing in organic produce, you-pick herbs, and other delicious ingredients. Come out and see the rescued farm animals that are housed on-premise and purchase fresh apples and apple cider.



Pumpkin patch: Yes, prices range from $5.99 - $9.99 for carving pumpkins. They will also have organic pie pumpkins available by Friday by the pound. Prices vary.
