Zombie Jamboree Kicks Off Miami's Rum Renaissance and Celebrates the Zombie Cocktail

The Easter Holiday lands on Sunday, April 24 this year, rather late, and having most of us with serious alcohol withdrawals due to the Lenten sacrifices. Easter can't come soon enough, less than 2 weeks and counting. Your segue into hedonism just got easier with the party of the year.

The Easter Holiday lands on Sunday, April 24 this year, rather late, and having most of us with serious alcohol withdrawals due to the Lenten sacrifices.

Easter can't come soon enough, less than 1 week and counting. Your segue into hedonism just got easier with the PARTY OF THE YEAR

On Monday, April 25, the Zombie Jamboree officially kicks off Miami's Rum Renaissance Festival, South Florida's only rum festival.

Only one day after Easter - coincidence? We think not!

The night will also pay tribute to the legendary Zombie Cocktail, invented in the 1930's by Don the Beachcomber, and named appropriately for its abilities to make anyone zombielike after a couple of cups. Rum expert Jeff "Beachbum" Berry will be on hand to speak about the potent cocktail and local mixologists will compete to make the very best version of the cocktail.

The event begins at 5:00 p.m. and is $25. RSVP is required, so please call the restaurant at 954-563-3272 to make a reservation. Then, stay for a traditional dinner and Polynesian style dance and fire show at 7:00 p.m., it costs $10.95 plus dinner.

Also, you also have a 100% possibility of bumping into Robert V. Burr and his partner in crime, Andrew Lazo of the Tiki Horror Club
