Multiple wine and culinary tasting events throughout South Florida should keep food lovers plenty busy, and with any luck, the weekend weather will hold tight for the variety of outdoor foodie events (which was not exactly the case this past weekend). For a look at some of the food and drink events available this week in Broward and Palm Beach counties, read on after the jump.

Tonight:

Real Men Bake fundraiser at Sundy House -- The GRWC Woman's Club of Delray Beach will host a bake-off featuring the sweet and/or savory treats created by several dozen amateur and professional male cooks. The event, dubbed Real Men Bake, is 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sundy House in Delray Beach. Admission is $15 at the door, cash only. Free appetizers and drink specials will be offered, plus the baked goods that have been entered into the contest.

Tuesday:

Marco Polo Tasting Social -- China Grill in Fort Lauderdale will host a tasting event inspired by the travels of Marco Polo with food like sushi, pan-seared spicy tuna, and curried chicken satay with lo mein. Everything will be paired with a wine or other adult beverage. The cost is $59 per person and the event is at 7 p.m. Call 954-759-9950 to RSVP.

Thursday:

"Cocktails for a Cause" at Red The Steakhouse-Rosso Italia -- Boca Raton's newest steak destination Red The Steakhouse-Rosso Italia will host a fundraiser for KidSafe Foundation. The event is 5:30 to 8 p.m. and will include an open bar and food, plus raffle prizes. Tickets are $30 pre-sale or $40 at the door.

Legacy Place Food and Wine Experience -- Several dozen restaurants -- including Figs by Todd English, Havana Restaurant, and Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza -- will participate in this wine and food event held in Legacy Place in Palm Beach Gardens. The event is 7 to 9 p.m. General admission is $50. VIP admission is $75 and includes access to the event from 6:30 to 10 p.m. and a lounge featuring specialty drinks. 

Wine Tasting and Pairing at The Backyard Bar -- Wines from Australia and New Zealand will be paired with hors d'oeuvres prepared by Michael Ober. The cost is $15 per person and the tasting is 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Backyard Bar in West Palm Beach. 

Grand opening of wine lounge at Hookah House in Lake Worth -- The Hookah House in Lake Worth has added a wine lounge serving wine flights and offering wine classes. The lounge will celebrate with a reception and party from 7 to 10 p.m. with French cheeses, Prosecco, and other treats, some of which will be free (others will be available for purchase). 

Friday:

Get Downtown cocktail hour in Fort Lauderdale -- The Riverwalk Get Downtown outdoor cocktail hour includes tastings from local restaurants and two drink tickets for a $25 admission fee ($20 if you purchase online.) The party is 5 to 8 p.m. at Las Olas Place, 333 E. Las Olas Blvd. 

Deerfield Beach Wine & Food Festival -- The Second Annual Deerfield Beach Wine & Food Festival is Friday and Saturday in Quiet Waters Park. Tickets remain for the Grand Tasting Launch Party ($35 pre-sale or $45 at the door) at 7:30 p.m. Friday; the Jazz Blues Brunch ($35/$45) from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, and the Grand Tasting ($60/$75) from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are available here. Some of the chefs participating in the event include Roy Villacrusis, Tony Torres (Buddha Sky Bar), and Jorge Fernandez (The Spaniard).

Sunday:

Sweet Corn Fiesta -- The corniest celebration around will hit town with a party from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Yesteryear Village on the South Florida Fair Grounds in West Palm Beach. Events include a sweet-corn-shucking contest at 1 p.m., the International Corn Eating Contest at 3 p.m., and a local corn-eating contest directly after. Admission is $5 to $8.
