62. Maitake Mushroom Steamed Buns from Kapow! Noodle Bar
Whether you love or loathe the sticky bun housing the guts of this delectable little morsel, there's no room to disparage the savory smoked flavor of the interior. Thin layers of maitake are generously coated in garlic soy and threaded through with papery strips of scallion for one tasty, breath-destroying bite.

Each bun is so stuffed that spillover is an inevitability. Rest assured you'll be picking at the scraps that have escaped their bready confines. These buns disappear in four or five bites -- or less, depending on who's doing the biting -- and it's not unheard of to need a re-up, particularly if you're sharing. Sweetening the deal is the fact that these little suckers are available for $3 during happy hour.
