Dim Ssam a Gogo chef/owner Richard Hales is a graduate of the French Culinary Institute who trained with uber-chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten.  He owns Sakaya Kitchen in Miami, which named one of the "Top six places to eat Asian-fusion" by Bon Apetit magazine. That's saying a lot. Why all this information? Because if you think eating at food trucks is a waste of your calorie intake, you should rethink Dim Ssam a Gogo.

The truck brings Hales gourmet Korean-inspired fare mobile. A few tweaks of the menu to make items portable were done, but the freshness and tastiness remain the same.

T

he menu changes daily, but expect such savory bites as kimchi eggrolls

with ginger hot sauce ($5 for two), pork belly chili buns ($7 for 2),

short rib chunk'd cheesy tots ($7), and ginger Brussels sprouts that are

absolutely addictive ($5).

Two food truck roundups are

scheduled for this Saturday, so bring cash (many food trucks still don't

take plastic) and your appetite for a little food truck love. Dim Ssam a

Gogo will be at both roundups.

as past roundups in downtown Fort Lauderdale have had large crowds.
