This Saturday is the Delray Bash from 7 to 9:30 p.m. in Old School Square, for which we're giving away two tickets worth $100 that pays for dishes and drinks from more than 25 restaurants, including The Office, The Falcon House, BurgerFi, Buddha Sky Bar, and DaDa, among others.

We asked you to weigh in with your favorite seasonal drinks in the comments. Of the twenty or so participants, a handful nodded to hot drinks, despite that local weather holds steady in the mid-80's this time of year. Seven commenters mentioned hot ciders or pumpkin-flavored coffee, with one going so far as to offer a recipe for a hot apple pie cocktail.

The majority of you

weighed in with beer favorites, such as Sam Adams Oktoberfest, Shipyard Pumpkin Ale, Spaten Optimator, Shiner Bock Oktoberfest, and Full Sail IPA, which one entrant said reminds him of fall, despite that it's not a pumpkin-flavored, Oktoberfest beer.

The winner of the tickets goes to the local weigh in from JCB:

Well, here in Florida, the beverage of fall has got to be beer because it's college football season, and no other drink goes better with tailgating and barbecue than a nice, cold brew. That being said, I second the choice of a pumpkin ale, but would rather have a Good Gourd Imperial Pumpkin Ale from our state's most renowned craft brewery, Cigar City, over in Tampa.

JCB, drop me a line at Melissa.McCart at browardpalmbeach.com so I can get your details for the tickets.
