Clematis Street is expanding again, this time with a much-welcomed addition of a full-service wine bar and restaurant.

The Wine Dive is set to open on Clematis Street just in time for Christmas shoppers to take a break for a little liquid courage before heading back to the shops for one last round of gift purchasing.

The Wine Dive will offer 100 wines by the glass as well as an extensive

bottle selection. Small bites like cheese and meat plates and bar

snacks will be offered, as well as a full dinner menu by executive chef

Curtis Hillard.

Custom décor will include murals made from hundreds of broken wine bottles and rustic iron trim on the bar and booths.

With the shop's motto of "not so snooty," we're looking forward to trying out

some new wines without some pretentious person asking us to identify at

least 30 top notes in the wine. In our opinion, if it tastes good --

drink it.

The Wine Dive, 319 Clematis St., West Palm Beach. Call 561-296-7699.
