Boynton's Due South Brewery announced a May 12 opening to coincide with American Craft Beer Week from May 14 to 20. The brewery, owned by Mike and Jodi Halker, at 2900 High Ridge Road, will produce Caramel Cream Ale, Roasted Cocoa Stout, Atlantis Ale, and an Espresso Porter, among others. Those brews will be shipped by Brown Distributing to 50 restaurants and counting, from Jupiter to Key West.

"It's taken us 15 months to get this far and we're finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel," Mike wrote on the company's blog updates.

Patrons can sample brews and watch production on location. Like Misfit Home Brewers, Due South started with home brewing, eventually offering beer at festivals. The new brewery joins Brewzzi and Tequesta Brewing Co. in the area's burgeoning craft beer movement.
