If you aren't already aware, Depeche Mode is rolling into town this week bringing along with it Swedish trio Peter Björn and John as its opening act. The indie-rock outfit has enjoyed a fair amount of success, particularly with its 2006 single "Young Folks" -- you know, that song that had whistling for a hook and a melody that made it almost impossible to forget.

Saturday, after the Depeche Mode concert band member Björn Yttling will be spinning at White Room along with local DJs Troy Kurtz and Damaged Goods. We are hoping Björn brings the same pop sensibilities found in the group's signature sound to his DJ set. The party is scheduled to start at 10 p.m. with a $10 cover charge at the door.

Anyway, really this post is an excuse to remind everyone of the pure awesomeness of the track "Young Folks," so after the jump take a peek at the video (which nab them a nomination for Best New Artist at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards), as well the video for Peter Björn and John's more recent single "It Don't Move Me."
