Anyone who drove on US-1 near Ponce De Leon Blvd. in Coral
Gables two years ago is familiar with Pepito. This young dashing canine was the
face of Laser Eye Center Of Miami. He
did it all, he wanted Lasik, he got Lasik, he rode jet skis, went to
outer space and even the North Pole to chill with Santa.
Lots of people have asked: "Pepito, where did you go to?"
Well, luckily we have an answer! Allegedly, Pepito is the Program Director for
93.1 WHDR-FM, South Florida's temporary All Christmas Music Station.
Here are Pepito's top five Christmas Jams, complete with Pepito-approved cover art!
"El Burrito Sabanero" - Flex
This Latin Christmas Classic has always been a staple at the Pepito home. As a child, he'd sing the song at Midnight Mass and impress all the families. He prefers the hopped-up bass remix the best, because "Pepito got woofers."
"Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer" - Dr Elmo
As a young pup, this song used to scare him. The idea of poor grandmother getting plowed down by a reindeer is all too similar to how his grandmother passed (run over by John Deere tractor). He is older and stronger now, so he can handle it.
"A Christmas Duel" - The Hives and Cindi Lauper
Pepito always loved '80s songs, and he is a big fan of garage rock, so when Cindi Lauper teamed up with the Hives to make this song a couple of years back, Pepito downloaded it onto his iPod.
"Feliz Navidad" - Jose Feliciano
Pepito just found out Jose Feliciano is blind! He likes this song because it is in his native tongue of Spanglish, but also because maybe he can offer some Lasik to Jose Feliciano.
"Last Christmas" - Wham!
Pepito loves Wham! If Pepito was gay, which he "isn't, but it's okay to be it," he would totally lick George Michael's face.
