Record Store Day has turned into Black Friday of the record store industry. Tons of albums get marked down, and there are plenty of giveaways and an abundance of exclusive releases. One of our local independent record stores, Radio-Active Records, is celebrating the day with a special exclusive release of the Axe & the Oak's self-titled 45 that's limited to only 300 copies!

There are so many RSD releases that our heads want to spin clean off. Frankly, we can't decide which to get on our often-limited budget. Wouldn't it be great if we had someone knowledgeable enough to tell us what we should get and why? Now we do. We spoke with Radio-Active Records' operations manager, Mikey Ramirez, to get the scoop on the five albums he's most excited about and the five that will be most in-demand from customers on RSD (so you'll want to snag those early). Check them out after the jump.

Nirvana - Hormoaning LP

"This is a long-awaited rerelease from the alternative juggernaut known as Nirvana. Originally released in 1992 in Japan and Australia, it features b-sides, BBC Sessions, and a few covers (Devo, Vaselines, the Wipers). Nearly impossible to get in the USA, until now!"

Off! - Live at Generation Records 45
"Keith Morris' (Circle Jerks) new supergroup featuring members of Redd Kross, Burning Brides, and Rocket From the Crypt. Loud, aggressive, and confrontational hardcore from these veterans, which proves that 'old' is sometimes better than 'new.' Southern Lord Records releases their live seven-inch box set from Generation Records in New York City."

The Black Angels - Another Nice Pair 12-inch

"Light in the Attic Records rereleases the Angels' first two EPs from 2005 and 2006 on a limited-edition 12-inch. Gotta love the Pink Floyd title reference. NOTE: 100 random LP inserts will be signed by the band, so check your copy!"

Beach Fossils/Wild Nothing - Gruesome Flowers: A Tribute to the Wake 45
"Two high-profile artists from the Captured Tracks roster pay tribute to one of the forgotten acts from the '80s post-punk camp: the Wake. Each band tackles a legendary slice of Factory-era gloom. Note: This is being released in a special Record Store Day 3x45 package featuring two rereleased 45s from the Wake (Crush the Flowers and On Our Honeymoon)."

Kate Bush - Hounds of Love ten-inch
"It's Kate Bush on ten inches of pink vinyl. It could be Kate Bush on a CD that's cracked in half and it wouldn't matter. It's Kate Bush rereleasing four remastered tracks that are limited to 1,000 copies. Starve for a week and have this in your collection."

Bonus: Radio-Active's "In Demand" Customer List
1. Deftones - Covers LP
2. Sonic Youth - Whores Moaning LP
3. Rolling Stones - Brown Sugar 45
4. Daft Punk - Tron 10-inch
5. Wavves/Trash Talk - Split 45
