Amtrac's production career just took an impressive turn. Following October's release of his debut album, Came Along, the gifted Miami dubstep experimenter is still pushing out new material, and the flavor of the moment is his contribution to Mick Boogie's My Adidas mixtape trumpeting the storied career of rap godfathers Run-D.M.C.

"It's Like That" in its original form meets the rough blacktop with some pizzazz for the break dancers to get with. With lyrical contributions from UGK vet Bun B as well as the Kid Daytona and Chip Tha Ripper, this is a bit of an eclectic end result.

It's already an infectious melody to begin with, and Amtrac's accouterments bring up its club potential. With the original D.M.C. vocal refrain intact, there's a proper nostalgic pipeline flowing underneath the track throughout. With a knob-twisted interlude to close it out, things feel modernized but not homogenized.
