New City Lions Launch Kickstarter Project to Fund Kids EP

Plantation pop-punk act New City Lions has teamed up with Kickstarter to help produce its next EP, titled Kids. In all, the band is hoping to raise $2,000, which is about half of the estimated cost for the undertaking. "We are big believers in working hard for what you have, so we wanted to meet you all half way," they write on the Kickstarter project page.

With the funds, the band plans to track the recording at the Vanguard Room in Lakeland with producer Matt Wilbur.

As is the case with all Kickstarter projects, there are rewards based upon your level of involvement. Giving just $1 will get your name screamed out in a video blog filmed on Fort Lauderdale Beach this fall, but fork over $1,000 and the band will write and record a song with you, take you to dinner and a movie, perform a private show for you, and give you a signed hard copy of Kids and a bunch of other swag.
