Mathew Jonson is back in Miami on Saturday to play at the Space Techno

Loft, and be advised that this will be a party of epic proportions.

Canadian-born/Berlin-based producer Jonson heads the esteemed Wagon

Repair label and is one of the more virtuosic and boldly innovative

figures of

contemporary techno, boasting a masterful command of studio production

and live electronics. Early breakthrough tracks like "Decompression",

released on Richie Hawtin's Minus label, earned Jonson

worldwide acclaim in the early 2000s, and his

experimental forays into tech-jazz fusion and live electronic

improvisation with Cobblestone Jazz and The Modern Deep Left Quartet

have garnered universal praise. Jonson's last local

performance at the Electric Pickle was one of the most unforgettable EDM

experience of 2009 and his upcoming gig at Space on Saturday is poised to be downright

spectacular.

Mathew Jonson at Space. Saturday, February 20. Doors open at 11 p.m. 34 NE 11 St., downtown Miami.
