Emo, screamo, post-punk, pop punk, alt-rock, post-hardcore, call it whatever the hell you want--attempting to keep track of the subgenrefication of moody rock bands in eyeliner is practically impossible. But we can all still agree on good music versus bad music, and The Used most definitely falls under the former.

The four-piece band, currently comprised of vocalist Bert McCracken, guitarist Quinn Allman, bassist Jeph Howard, and drummer Dan Whitesides (founding drummer Branden Steineckert migrated in 2006 to Rancid due to "creative differences"), have come a long way since their humble beginnings as a drug addicted group of guys in the Mormon town of Orem, Utah...which is enough to drive anyone to drugs, if you think about it. They recently released their fourth album Artwork to the tune of top 10 positioning on 5 different Billboard charts, and much critical acclaim.

The Used will be performing at the Buzz Bake Sale in Cruzan Ampitheater on Saturday, December 5, along with Chevelle, Matisyahu, Cage the Elephant, Panic At The Disco, Manchester Orchestra, and more. Tickets are $40 for reserved seats, $20 for lawn.
