2009 was a big year for Wolf + Lamb, the NYC-based DJ/production duo and eponymous label responsible for some of the most exciting and imaginative new sounds in electronic dance music. From their growing cult following, centered around the infamous "Marcy Hotel" parties in Brooklyn, to their recent leap from digital-only to vinyl imprint, with a stellar artist roster that includes the likes of Seth Troxler, Lee Curtiss and Soul Clap, W+L have become one of the most buzz-worthy collectives of the underground dance scene. Resident Advisor included them in their Top 20 Labels of 2009 poll, and their releases have been charted by DJs across the board as they continue to garner wide international acclaim for their unique take on deep post-minimal house.

Miami got a dose of the Wolf + Lamb sound when they played along with new label consorts No Regular Play to a packed room at the Electric Pickle in November -- by all accounts one of the best parties of the year -- so it makes perfect sense to follow up with the full W+L experience, and that is exactly what PL0T has in store for us at the Pickle on Friday night. This special label showcase will feature Gadi Mizrahi (one half of the duo) spinning along with Detroit-by-way-of-Berlin deep tech specialist Shaun Reeves, funky Boston favorites Soul Clap, and the highly-anticipated Miami debut of talented young producer Nicolas Jaar, one of the fastest-rising stars in the scene. They'll be joined by PL0T resident DJs Alejandro Sab, Michael Christopher and

Basti for what is sure to be an incomparable night of mind-expanding

and body-jacking dance music fare.

PL0T Presents The Wolf + Lamb Experience at Electric Pickle, Friday, January 15, 11 p.m.-5 a.m. 2826 N Miami Ave., Miami.
