Reigning pop princess Rihanna will no doubt be able to carry her upcoming South Florida show on July 14 at BankAtlantic Center. But while her headlining set will go off with all the flash and panache for which her live performances are renowned, the supporting roster has just gotten a little less funky. The Bajan star has been touring the United States with upcoming rapper J. Cole and crossover crooner Cee-Lo Green, but after finishing a run of the dates, Green's dropped off the bill.
The New York Times ArtsBeat blog published a statement from Anne Watkins, a spokeswoman for Green's management company: "He always puts 100 percent into his work and with the requirements and time commitment to The Voice, on top of heading back into the recording studio and an upcoming book, he feels that he wouldn't give his fans the show that they deserve."
Apparently those commitments won't keep him from performing solo sets on the summer festival circuit, though. This weekend will find him at the "Summer in the Park Festival" in Sioux City, Iowa, and upcoming months also include appearances at Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits.

We'll post details about his replacement at the upcoming South Florida Rihanna show on July 14, if there is a replacement, after all. In the meantime, you can still say you saw J. Cole while he was on the come-up and download his latest free single, "Work Out," here.
