In anticipation for their show tonight night with Lagues at Propaganda, it is important  -- necessary -- to get oneself into the right headspace for the Band In Heaven. Indeed "headspace" is the right term for such foggy, fuzzy stuff recalling both outer space and My Bloody Valentine, the Orlando-based duo veer toward a part of the '80s and '90s that has more to do with the Jesus and Mary Chain and less to do with the Cranberries.

And yet, in that same display of perfection Swans made when they covered "Love Will Tear Us Apart,"

they take something so stylistically different from their sound and

make it beautifully their own. Covering the Cranberries' "Dreams," an

emblem of the 1990s if there was one, is lofty, but the Band In Heaven

do it the best way they know how: with fuzzy, shoegaze guitars, and oh

so delicate.

You can download their full set of five demos at their Band Camp page.
