U-Haul-Driving Thieves Bust in to Best Buy in Fort Lauderdale

Shortly after the doors closed last night at the Best Buy on North Federal Highway, a U-Haul truck driver decided to open them back up. Fort Lauderdale cops are looking for three men who rammed a truck into the store's south door, then ransacked the store of laptops and iPods.

From the FLPD news release:

It was discovered that the U-Haul arrived in the parking lot at approximately 11:03 P.M. At approximately 11:04 P.M., the alarm company was alerted. At the same time, the south-side door was smashed by the front of the U-Haul truck. Two suspects entered into the store with two green trash cans and trash bags. A short time later, a third suspect entered into the store. The suspects were able to break into the laptop and I-Pod cases. At approximately 11:08 P.M. all suspects exited the business.

The suspects left both green trash containers on-scene with numerous items inside.

The U-haul was seized by officer's on the scene, and Best Buy Management is still obtaining the total loss. There is video of this incident; however, the video is being obtained from store management.



The suspects have been described as three white males, in their twenties, last seen wearing blue jean shorts and jeans.
