Update 5: Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra during Friday's practice: "In terms of all the rumors and speculation, we're aware of all the things that are out there. Everybody's jumping the gun right now. Frankly, there is not a full diagnosis, so for everybody to speculate at this stage is very premature."
Spoelstra also said the Heat believe Bosh's health issue is not life threatening.
Update 4: Bleacher Report's Jared Zwerling is reporting that Bosh is dealing with blood clots in both lungs, and that further testing is being done.
Update 3: LeBron James has sent Bosh a message via Twitter:
Wish I could be there by your side this very moment to tell a joke or something homie. Just to get your mind off what you're going through!

Update 2: Bosh is still in the hospital and is reportedly on blood-thinner medication, according to Barry Jackson. The concern for the Heat is that Bosh could miss the remainder of the season, although the report says that "the longterm outlook is good."
Update: The Herald's Barry Jackson tweeted this morning:
Doctors believe Bosh has blood clot on lung. He remains hospitalized. Blood clot on lung last month will sideline Nets' Teletovic for season

Original post: The Miami Heat's Chris Bosh was taken to a Miami-area hospital Thursday to undergo tests in his lung area. While the Heat initially reports that the test are inconclusive, early reports have speculated that it might be serious.
According to the Miami Herald's Greg Cote, early speculation is that Bosh has a blood clot in his lung and could have a pulmonary embolism. That report remains unconfirmed.
Various reports say that Bosh, 30, was feeling ill on Wednesday, and left Heat practice early. Team trainers sent him to see a doctor, and on Thursday he was admitted to a hospital to undergo tests.
No confirmation yet -- emphasize that -- but initial concerns about Chris Bosh tonight involved blood clot on lung: pulmonary embolism.

Chris Bosh was complaining of pain in his side near his rib cage this weekend in New York. Bosh then traveled to Haiti on Monday.

Bosh, who is averaging 21.1 points and 7.0 rebounds this season, had just been in New York over the weekend for the NBA's All Star activities. Bosh did play 11 minutes of the All Star Game. He also competed in the Shooting Starts event Saturday night, which his team won for a third-straight year. In neither match did Bosh seem fatigued or ill, though that is merely speculation.
From New York he traveled to Haiti with his wife Adrienne and teammate Dwyane Wade and his wife Gabrielle Union. Wade said Thursday that Bosh wasn't feeling well during the trip.
"He wasn't feeling good," Wade told reporters Thursday afternoon. "I don't know what it was. He just wasn't feeling good overall."
Chris Bosh (illness) missed today's practice and is currently visiting a doctor. He is questionable to travel with the team to New York.

The news of Bosh's hospitalization dampened an otherwise exciting day for the Heat, who traded for talented Phoenix Suns point guard Goran Dragic earlier in the day. Dragic and Bosh would make a formidable match up in pick-and-roll situations and would make the Heat a dangerous offensive threat.
"I'm not a doctor," Wade added on Thursday. "I just know he wasn't feeling good. He wasn't coughing or throwing up, but he just wasn't feeling good. So I don't know when it happened. It could have happened in New York."
Bosh and the Heat are awaiting test results, which are expected sometime today.
We'll update this post when we get more information.
