Here's what happened this week in Juice:

  • The Puppy Palace protests got personal. Juice posted photos from the most recent face-off at the Hollywood pet store, where Palace defenders used a Facebook photo of a protester's 5-year-old daughter in their counterprotest signs. More photos from the protest here.
  • Palm Beach billionaire Jeff Greene received a rude welcome from his competitor in the Democratic primary for Senate, Kendrick Meek. The Meek campaign called Greene a "profiteer of Floridians' misery" and pointed toward Greene's having been named as a defendant in a California lawsuit alleging real estate rip-off.
  • Results from the recent Deerfield Beach audit raises questions about the city's dealings with a Miami nonprofit that had a role in awarding a lucrative contract for elevators lifts at the Century Village condo complex.
