According to police reports, Kelly Major Cooper, 46, allegedly kidnapped a 10-year-old boy from a party in West Park several weeks ago.

Cooper then allegedly took the boy to his son's Dania Beach residence, where he locked the child in a bedroom. Cooper then raped the boy and forced him to perform sexual acts.

To make this awful story even more abhorrent: Cooper is reportedly HIV-positive and may have infected the child with the virus.

Broward Judge John "Jay" Hurley ordered a $5 million bond for Cooper on Wednesday on charges of criminal transmission of HIV, two counts of sexual battery on a child, lewd and lascivious molestation, and kidnapping. Hurley then revoked bail.

Cooper admitted to detectives that he has been HIV-positive for the past eight years. It is still unknown if the victim contracted the virus.

According to police, the incident happened on March 12.

Cooper is being held at Broward's main jail.
