A retired NYPD cop who moved down to South Florida after fighting crime in the Big Apple has been arrested for raping a teenage girl in Boynton Beach.

On Thursday, Daniel Guadalupe, 56, who is reportedly a former member of New York's finest, was arrested by the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office on charges of sexual battery, lewd or lascivious molestation and false imprisonment.

Guadalupe is accused of sexually abusing a girl over a course of four years, since she was only 13-years-old. Now 17, the girl told authorities that Guadalupe had been the culprit of the abuse, which began with inappropriate and progressed to forcing her into sex, reported the Palm Beach Post.

According to WPTV, the victim's relatives conducted a controlld phone call with PBSO deputies in which Guadalupe "made numerous admissions and apologized for getting 'carried away playing around.'"

Prosecutors brought were concerned about the ex-cop buying tickets to Nicaragua earlier in the week, according to the Post. Judge Joseph Marx set Guadalupe's bail at $250,000.
