Americans for Prosperity Foundation Florida, part of the Koch brothers' political-funding machine, announced yesterday that it's going to be "providing essential educational tools to Floridians in advance of the upcoming 2012 elections."
Among the "influential leaders" AFP Florida is bringing on this tour is Brandon Darby, the former FBI informant who infiltrated groups that were planning protests of the 2008 Republican National Convention.
Darby was spotted just this weekend at a Tea Party event in Orlando headlined by Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, in which Darby can be seen on tape helping to physically remove some protesters who interrupted the sheriff's speech.
According to AFP Florida, which describes Darby as a "former radical leftist turned patriot FBI informant," he'll be giving speeches on "understanding the strategies of the left."
Catherine Engelbrecht will also be part of the crew. She's from the Tea Party group called the King Street Patriots and is best-known for her explanation to a group in Houston that some "Black Panthers" had set up their headquarters in town, coupled with a Fox News clip of a man saying he was trying to figure out how to "exterminate white people."
That turned out to be false.
But sure enough, she'll be teaching "how to expose and prevent voter fraud" on the AFP Florida tour.
Other speakers will include Florida-based right-wing blogger Sarah Rumpf and Jason Hoyt from GOTVote Florida, and of course, Americans for Prosperity's Slade O'Brien.
