There it is, the moment, the golden goal.
Boca Raton's Jozy Altidore hit the cross. Clint Dempsey took the first shot on goal. Landon Donovan buried it in the back of the net, in the first minute of stoppage time, to keep the United States alive in the World Cup.
The perfect cross made up for a few blunders from Altidore, namely missing an open goal in the 37th minute and pulling a late, unnecessary yellow card.
If Altidore gets another card in this Saturday's knock-out round match, he'll miss the next game regardless of whether the U.S. advances.
For now though, America's soccer fans celebrate. This is the first time the U.S. has won its World Cup group since the first cup, in 1930.
