Protesters interrupted an Allen West event the other day at Pirates Cove Resort & Marina from their balcony above the congressman.
West was six minutes into his speech Wednesday after noon and was probably just about to get into how Obama wants to marry terrorists and paint the White House red when the protesters, who call themselves Stand Up Florida, unfurled a huge banner from their balcony that read "Allen West is out of touch, Allen West is out of office."
The protesters then began to shout down rude things about the congressman. West's supporters began to shout back. Then they began to throw water bottles, ice cubes, and beer at the protesters, because the best way to quell an uprising is to throw random things at angry people.
One elderly Allen supporter tried to throw a salt shaker, but it fell feebly short.
"Take this hippies! Ugghnnn...." *salt shaker falls two feet in the grass*
West, who loves to talk about how feeble, weak, and Jimmy Carter-y Obama is and how he handled the Middle East protests like a girly-man and how if he, West, were president, he would send a bald eagle Angel of Death to destroy enemies of freedom, stood in the corner of the stage with his campaign team as people threw beer and ice at one another.
Before things got really bananas, sheriff's deputies stepped in and removed the protesters from the property at the request of the resort management as West's supporters chanted "U-S-A! U-S-A!" Because when you protest Allen West, it's straight-up COMMUNISM, bro.
According to Stand Up Florida spokeswoman Gayle Faath, the group rented the room this week. Stand Up Florida is backed by the Service Employees International Union.
West got back on stage once the beer tossing ended and bravely continued his speech, where he said of the protesters, "We should be able to talk about the differences between the direction that we want to take America. But instead all they [protesters] want to do -- it's about the politics of character assassination."

West then ended the event by leading a rendition of "God Bless America," because... why not?
