Delray Beach 20-year-old Vitaly Zdorovetskiy raised eyebrows last month when he traipsed around Miami pretending to be a face-eating zombie. He posted a second, less timely prank last week in which he, dressed in a suit, makes a Boca man think his briefcase is about to explode. The Boca man responded by attacking Zdorovetskiy and his cameraman, and the bomb squad showed up.
Zdorovetskiy offers some insight into his pranks in today's Sun-Sentinel and reveals the reasoning behind his antics: He's a moron.
"The bomb squad came. Can you believe that?" he said. "It's unbelievable how law is these days."
Yes, we can believe that, Vitaly. YOU TOLD A MAN HE WAS GOING TO EXPLODE.
As for the scuffle with the victim, he said, "We're pranksters; we don't fight back... We don't fight back because that's not professional."
To review: Telling a guy he's going to explode is business. Fighting back when he tries to kick the shit out of you is just, you know, wrong, man.
Now, Zdorovetskiy is facing bomb hoax charges, as is his cameraman, Jonathan Vanegas, who, after all this, still had the guts to whine about his treatment:
"We go to the Boca jail, I'm shirtless for about four hours until I go to the county jail," he told the Sun-Sentinel. "It wasn't that bad, but the worst part about it was that I was detained on the first floor with 16 other cellmates, and we don't have beds or anything."
Hey, Jonny -- shut up. The bomb squad has, you know, actual things to do. Things that don't involve you and your friends harassing people for YouTube hits.
