The idea of a "progressive meal" might sound like a foreign concept, but we've all experienced it in one form or another even if we didn't realize it at the time. Whether you've had prix fixe menus, been to small plate restaurants, or just consumed a liquid diet on a pub crawl, you actually know what it's all about.

Coming up at the end of September, the ultimate extended dinner "Tastemakers" is heading to Boca Raton's Mizner Park. With food and cocktail pairings from more than 11 participating restaurants over the course of two nights, you're going to need an eating strategy -- and an extra belt-loop.

Ticket sales are underway for the two night event, taking place on Tuesday, September 24 and Wednesday, September 25 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. For $30, guests will sample light bites and creative cocktails from each restaurant over the course of one or both nights. After trying out a media preview of the event, we would suggest extending the eating over two nights.

Here's what you get:

The Cheese Course is serving an Italian Artisanal Cheese Course with a selection of complementary award-winning Italian wine.

The Dubliner is offering its Shepherd's Pie, Guinness Mac & Cheese paired, and "Black Velvet," comprised of Guinness and Cider.

Jazziz Nightlife is featuring butter poached main lobster on kobocha squash risotto with its Newton's Cure cocktail, of barrel-aged gin, honeycrisp shrub, local honey, and sparkling wine.

Kapow! is giving out samples of its Banh Mi Vietnamese Baguette and Spicy Lover, Partida Reposado Tequila, cucumber, lime juice, Tabasco Green Sauce, and cilantro.

Karma Sushi Steakbar is sampling chicken pot stickers and Sasyr Super Tuscan wine.

Max's Grille is doing a shrimp ceviche with a Sanguigno Jalapeno Margarita, made of Tanteo Tequila, Bacardi Limon, Gran Marnier, fresh limes, and blood oranges.

Tanzy pairing its Pineapple Mint Illegalito Mojito

Italiano, made with passion fruit puree, fresh mint and basil, house-made coriander syrup and hand-crafted Boca Loca, with meatballs.

Racks is serving Ahi Tuna Tacos with its "Retail Therapy," a combination of Rain Honey Mango Melon Vodka, triple sec, lime juice, and a Tang Rim.

Truluck's is handing out fresh Pacific stone crab with Poema Cava.

Uncle Julio's is combing shrimp and mango guacamole with the Spiced Mango Passion Margarita.

Villagio is offering a tasting of Italian specialties with beef carpaccio and Dolce Vita beer.
