Don't ever be "sorry for partying" -- especially at the soon-to-open Palm Beach Gardens country bar and club, JR's Buck Wild, which is celebrating its grand opening this Thursday.

Here, the statement is more motto than promise, as well as a favorite saying for one of the club's creators, owner Cleve Mash, who has revamped the former 5,800-square foot Club Safari space located in the Palm Beach Gardens Marriott to become the area's first country "club," where live music, line dancing and saloon-style drinks will cater to the area's late-night crowd.

"Like all my establishments, I've designed this space to appeal to the ladies first," said Mash, who also owns and designed nearby Dirty Martini. "This is a place to dance, mingle and have fun in a safe, clean place."

Mash -- who garnered ideas from country bars in places like Nashville, Tennessee -- has created a true saloon-style country bar complete with mechanical bull, a large central dance floor designed specifically to accommodate line dancers, and even a general store at the entrance that will sell "bling" belts, cowboy hats and custom Buck Wild apparel. The elevated main bar provides a clear view of the dance floor, while a small seating area for private parties and several high top tables flank either side of the main 15-seat bar.

What about the drinks? Mash is keeping it simple: beer by the bottle will be plentiful, while a full bar will be serving several specialty drinks served in copper mugs, like the Knee Deep, a combination of 44 North huckleberry infused vodka and homemade lemonade.

Even though it's a country bar, that doesn't mean you have permission to be 100% country, however. The club will be enforcing a light dress code for guys, as well as a $10 cover charge Thursday through Sunday. Girls get in free on Thursday for ladies night, and drink free from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., but will be charged a $5 cover charge Friday through Sunday.

JR's Buck Wild will be opening this Thursday, with no cover from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Regular hours are Tuesday through Sunday from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. Each week Thursday and Saturday nights are reserved for line dancing, while a custom stage will feature a mix of local, national and regional country music acts performing live every Friday. The "in the biz" crowd drinks free every Sunday from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

JR's Buck Wild Country Bar is located at 4000 RCA Blvd. in Palm Beach Gardens. For more information call 561-622-8888, or visit the Facebook page.
