Monday

Beer Social Night

Beer is supposed to be a social thing. So, every Monday from 7 to 10 p.m., Coffee District hosts a social beer night aimed at bringing beer geeks together by sharing rare brews. Guests are encouraged to BYOCB (Bring Your Own Craft Beer), whether purchased or homebrewed. If you don't have your own, you can buy an on-site to share. Craft Beer Dinner

Drinking copious amounts of beer tends to whet the appetite. You might as well grab a bite. On Monday, starting at 7 p.m., Riverside Market is holding a craft beer dinner. Get four beers paired with four courses for $40 per person.

On Tuesday, July 30 at 6 p.m., Tap 42 is hosting a New Belgium launch party featuring never before tasted -- in Florida, at least -- brews and a raffle for a free Belgian bike. Call 561-278-3364, or visit 50ocean.com.

National Lasagna Day

Pretty much everyday is a food holiday. For the most part, we really don't care. Today, however, is National Lasagna Day. Celiacs and lactose intolerants aside, that's something we can all appreciate. To celebrate, all Brio Tuscan Grille locations are offering half-off full-sized portions of its lasagna bolognese.

Various locations. Visit brioitalian.com.

Go Greek!

If you've ever seen My Big Fat Greek Wedding, you already know the Greek's invented everything -- wine included. On Tuesday at 6 p.m., Virginia Philip Wine Shop & Academy is holding a Greek wine tasting event. Andreas Afxendiou will introduce guests to five awesome Greek wines. The cost to attend is $40 per person. The tasting is tentative based upon interested. Call ahead.

Health Starts Here Raw Food Series: Dessert

The class is free to attend. Space is limited. Registration is required.

Whole Foods Market Pembroke Pines is located at 14956 Pines Blvd. in Pembroke Pines. Call 954-392-3500, or visit wholefoodsmarket.com.

Thursday

3rd Annual White Coats-4-Care

Doctors are kind of important. And they kind of need to know how to use proper medical equipment. To help raise money for Florida Atlantic University's medical school students, Jazziz Nightlife is hosting a fundraising event on Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The cost to attend is a $100 pledge or donation to the program.

Heavenly Fish

Fish is one of those foods that tends to intimidate home cooks. Chef Jean-Pierre's Cooking School will exchange money for some advice. On Thursday at 7:30 p.m., the school is holding a fish-cooking class. For $70 per person, guests will learn to make polenta crusted snapper, crispy grouper, and salmon filets with the proper side dishes.

Chef Jean-Pierre's Cooking School is located at 1436 Federal Hgwy in Fort Lauderdale. Call 954-563-2700, or visit chefjeanpierre.com.
