You might not even know it's there. And if you did, you'd have a hard time believing just how good yet another strip-mall restaurant can be.

But Casa Linda in Boynton Beach is serving some of the most flavorful, well-plated Latin fare around. To boot, the restaurant has a weekly margarita special that goes down every Wednesday that will blow your mind. If you want to celebrate hump day, this is the place to be.

Casa Linda opened in a small strip mall off Congress Avenue in 2009. Recently, the Benitez family opened a second location in Lake Worth (7366 Lake Worth Road, Lake Worth). Although the name and decor would have you think otherwise, the laid-back restaurant serves more than just Mexican fare.

The menu also boasts a large number of American, Latinesque, and Spanish cuisine prepared by chef-owner Ricardo Benitez -- everything from ceviche and fried snapper to churrasco and a cream- and chorizo-smothered chicken.

On certain days of the week, you can hear live mariachi music (6:30 to 9 p.m.) and cash in on some amazing margarita specials.

On Wednesday, the Boynton Beach location sells frozen and on-the-rocks margaritas for 99 cents (all day long with the purchase of a meal priced $8.95 or more). Casa Linda's 10-month-old sister location in Lake Worth offers the same deal every Tuesday.

According to Benitez's wife, Mirna Contreras-Benitez, the restaurant's margarita mix is made using her recipe. On an average Wednesday, each restaurant will sell more than 350 drinks throughout the day, she says.

Casa Linda is located at 701 Congress Ave., Boynton Beach. Call 561-734-8644, or visit casalindamexican.com.
