Tired of grocery-store produce? If so, get your green on with the West Boca Green Market at Olympic Heights High School. Every Sunday, you'll find seafood, desserts, French pastries, cheeses, olive oils and dressings, cooked food for lunch and dinner to take home, flowers and plants, homemade soaps, candles, weight-loss and nutrition products, handmade jewelry, and, of course, organic produce. For the health-conscious or those with dietary issues, there are vegan and gluten-free options as well. Admission is free. The West Boca Green Market takes place every Sunday, all year round, from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Olympic Heights Community High School.
If it's taking place at a marina, it has to be high-class. On Saturday, November 23 from 7 to 10:30 p.m., BeachBash is bringing DJ Rush together with Fort Lauderdale's top restaurants and an open bar by Premier Beverage to the pool of the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina. 3. Second-Annual Brazilian Festival of Pompano Beach
This Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., the vacation is coming to you with the return of the Brazilian Festival of Pompano Beach to the Pompano Beach Community Park. The culture, the food, and the music are all coming alive in one mega event sure to make you feel like you're in another place. Admission is free, but you are encouraged to bring a food donation This event is stacked with everything from a fashion show to a kids' zone and even a raffle for two tickets to Brazil to take it to the next level. 2. Mustache Movember Best 'Stache Contest
Funky Buddha Brewery joins in on the mustachioed fun to raise funds and awareness for prostate and testicular cancer and for men's mental health challenges. This Sunday from 1 to 7 p.m., they will host a Mustache Movember themed event at their Oakland Park brewery. Saucy Stache food truck will be on hand to provide the vital vittles to stick to your flavor savor. Be sure to register your growing facial locks at Movember.com. At 4:30 p.m. there will be a Best 'Stache contest.
The first Dog Rescue Bus Loop will take place on Friday from 6 to 11 p.m. with a route connecting Boca and Deerfield Beach. All Proceeds benefit 100+ Abandoned Dogs Everglades. Check-In at Two Georges at The Cove or The Dubliner in Mizner Park. Admission is $30 if you prepay before noon Friday at busloop.org, and $35 at the door. As with every bus loop, designated drivers get free admission - and a complimentary sense of righteous satisfaction. Post-party will take place at Oceans 234. Other venues include Wishing Well, Black Rose, 101 Cantina, Kahuna's, Biergarten Boca Raton, Los Andes, and Osteria Sapori. Complimentary drinks and appetizers will be served.
