Congratulations, you made it through yet another working week. You might as well give yourself a pat on the back to celebrate -- or better yet, a drink or three.

If you're planning on going out on the town this weekend, consider going on The Bus Loop in West Palm Beach. They will be hosting a special after-party on Saturday for anyone involved to raise funds for designated charities -- all while giving the area's young professionals a Bus Loop experience of a lifetime. All proceeds directly benefit the charities. The Bus Loop connects Clematis Street, City Place, and Northwood Village. For only $20, you can ride the trolleys and enjoy complimentary drinks from some of the hottest restaurants and bars in the Palm Beach area. 4. 21st Annual Celebrity Food Tasting & Auction
The Seminole Hard Rock and Casino will be hosting the 21st Annual Celebrity Chef Food Tasting & Auction this Saturday, at 7 p.m. More than 20 restaurants, and dozens of South Florida chefs, will be participating in the event benefiting the Ann Storck Center, non-profit organization in support of children and adults with developmental disabilities. 3. 4th Annual Iron Chef Competition
The Boca Raton Historical Society and Museum will be hosting the 4th Annual Iron Chef Competition, taking place on Saturday, September 27 starting at 6:30 p.m. Chef teams of 12 will come together to show off their on-the-spot cooking and entertaining skills. Each team will enjoy a welcome reception with guests, and then gather as a team to organize and plan to compete for the best table setting and centerpiece design, wine selection, entree, and any additional dishes they create as part of an elegant four-course dinner. Celebrity judges will determine the winning team and all participants will enjoy a celebration after the competition at the Boca Raton Resort & Club. Visit the event website for more information.
2. 4th Annual Pup Crawl West Palm Beach
Sponsored by Rocco's Tacos and Tequila Bar, Grease Burger Bar, the West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority, and 1st United Bank, the 4th Annual West Palm Beach Pup Crawl is back once again for some doggone fun. This Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the pup crawl restaurants and businesses on Clematis Street will be offering food and drink specials and pooches that are accompanied by their two-legged companion can enjoy a day devoted to them. The family-friendly event will be a real "dog day" for all to enjoy and attendees can expect a pet parade at noon, doggie fashion show, dog-themed games for children, pet adoptions, vaccinations and more. During the crawl, representatives from Kibblez of Love and Dogs 4 Disabled Veterans will be onsite raising awareness for their non-profits and seeking volunteers and donations.
Fort Lauderdale's Stout Bar & Grill is kicking off a $14 Oktoberfest Platter available through Oktoberfest. It's a trio of German meats including bratwurst, knockwurst, and nurnberger. It comes with sauerkraut and real German potato salad drizzled with a sliced apple-cinnamon demi glaze. Pair it with a mug of the Spatan Oktoberfest brew for $18. Also, during the official Oktoberfest dates, anyone who comes to Stout dressed in a lederhosen or dirndl will receive a complimentary mug of Spatan Oktoberfest.
The real celebration happens in Hollywood, however. Modeled after the original, the annual Munich Oktoberfest, this traditional German-style celebration that takes place at the German American Society grounds in its historic Bavarian clubhouse, originally built in the 1960s. The annual festival will run over the course of three Saturday celebrations beginning this weekend, and continuing October 11 and 25. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and music plays until 11 p.m. During Oktoberfest, visitors can get a glimpse of authentic German culture with traditional dances, music, and a variety of authentic German food including weisswurst (veal sausage), würstl (sausage), sauerkraut, pretzels, and reiberdatschi (potato pancakes).
