There are few scents more seductive than that of fresh donuts coming into being. Chanel should think about bottling it.
Soon that scent will be coming to Tamarac in the form of a new Krispy Kreme location.
Not every Krispy Kreme shop actually makes its doughnuts. In fact, in South Florida, only two locations mass-produce addictive Krispy Kremes -- one in Fort Lauderdale and another in Miami.
This location will be a 2,000-square-foot "factory shop" that will
produce glazed gooey doughnut goodness, according to Krispy Kreme
representative Lafeea Watson.
The location will be pumping out
hot fresh donuts 24 hours a day, seven days a week to keep the residents
of Tamarac fat and happy, and that means they will need lots of staff.
There are approximately 50 positions to be filled, part-time and full-time. The open positions include retail, processors, and sanitation.
"We like to bring in managers from other locations to get the shop up and running as quickly as possible," said Watson. "But there are shift supervisor positions open as well."
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and available for mandatory weekend shifts. The location is planned to open in mid-November. There will be a job fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, October 30 and Wednesday, October 31 at the new location located in the Sunshine Plaza at 4299 W. Commercial Blvd. in Tamarac. Krispy Kreme is an equal opportunity employer.
