5. Pet Rescue Benefit
If you like drinking and care about animals, this is your ideal Sunday Funday event. From 1 to 6 p.m., Maguire's is hosting a benefit to help local pet rescues. The event will feature a raffle, live music by Jimmy Stowe and the Stowaways, a 50/50 cash drawing, and -- obviously -- food and alcoholic beverages.

4. Fort Lauderdale Bar Crawl
Multitasking is an essential part of modern-day life. Who has time to work, take care of personal matters, socialize, exercise, and get drunk? While we cannot help you with all of the above, we can help you figure out a way to walk and get drunk. This Saturday at 6:30 p.m., the Fort Lauderdale Bar Crawl is starting off at Lucky's Tavern. For $20 in advance, $25 the day of, participants get to stumble around downtown getting a drink at each participating bar. At 11 p.m., the afterparty moves to America's Backyard with a free buffet -- to help soak up all the booze -- and a raffle.

3. National Day of the American Cowboy
Where have all the cowboys gone? They're not in Fort Lauderdale, that's for damned sure. If you're looking to find yourself a manly frontiersman -- or hot cowgirl -- you're going to have to make your way out west, and north. This Saturday, Okeechobee Main Street is hosting National Day of the American Cowboy. The event features Western exhibits, crafters, a cattle drive, a rodeo, and, of course, barbecue -- lots of barbecue. Events start at 10 a.m. with the cattle drive and run until 6 p.m. with the last rodeo show. Admission is $10 for adults; kids under 10 get free entrance. 2. Hot Dog Fest
You may or may not know it, but July is National Hot Dog month. Unfortunately, the month is almost up. If you're looking to commemorate by noshing down on some weenies, Burger Beast's Hot Dog Fest and the second-annual Hot Dog Eating Contest is coming to Plantation Heritage Park this Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. The event is free to attend.

1. Food Truck Safari
Most people like fuzzy little animals. Everyone eats food. Combine the two Saturday at the Palm Beach Zoo. From 6 to 10 p.m., food trucks will be scattered around the zoo while handlers walk around with some of the tamer friendlier animals. The $10 admission and a portion of the food truck's proceeds will benefit the zoo.
