Another day, another new upscale burger spot.
Burger & Beer Joint, which runs restaurants on Miami Beach and in Brickell, is planning to open a 5,800-square-foot outpost in Pembroke Pines in July.
The menu at 11025 Pines Blvd. will be identical to those at the Miami locations, said Special Projects Manager Devin Huber. The design should be similar too, but with an outdoor bar you can't find at the Miami restaurants. Expect lots of weathered-looking red brick, dark wood, red paint and vintage car and motorcycle signs.
You have the option to build own burger, built on Wagyu beef patties or seared Ahi tuna, or choose one of Executive Chef Carlos Barillas' creations.
Traditionalists will opt for the Thunder Road ($14), a beef burger with smoked Duroc pork belly bacon, American cheese and bourbon BBQ sauce. The health nut will go for a Buck Nekid ($12) sans cheese or bun. Hedonist will head straight for the Stairway to Heaven. It's a $32 burger topped with pan-seared Hudson Valley foie gras, a black truffle demi glaze and served with duck fat fries.
They also stock nearly 100 varieties of beer and adult shakes that combine various liquors with ice cream and other sweets.

Though this is the company's first foray outside of Miami it's clear owner Tony Hannan has long looked past the county line. State corporation records show he registered a company called B&B Gulfstream LLC in March 2012.
Huber said Hannan doesn't plan to franchise the restaurant and will pursue opportunities to expand in South Florida as they arise.
"I wouldn't say we have a goal set," she said, "it's just put them up where we can, when we can."
