One of Delray Beach's most anticipated food events, Tastemakers returns this Thursday and Friday, from 5 to 10 p.m.
The massive two night event takes over Atlantic Avenue and all of Downtown Delray Beach. Stroll from restaurant to restaurant sampling the best the area has to offer in food and cocktails.
Tickets - also known as passports - went on sale July 1 but there are still some left. The entire event is meant to be a boon for the local restaurants, introducing hungry potential customers to spots they might never have tried otherwise. Even the passports themselves are on sale at the various participating restaurants.

"Some of them may have more left than others," says Laura Simon, Associate Director of the Delray Downtown Development Authority. "But they all have some left. Historically, we sell around 900 passports in the final week leading up to the event alone."
So, while there are still passports left as of this moment, there won't be for much longer. Get a move on. You can purchase yours for $30 per person from these participating restaurants:
1. 50 Ocean
2. Brule Bistro
5. Casa Di Pepe
6. Deck 84
9. HiWay Burger
11. Off the Ave.
12. The Office
13. Orange Leaf
15. Sundy House
16. SWIG Wine Bar
17. Vic & Angelo's
The passport is more than just your ticket in to two nights of delicious dishes, it also has coupons for each restaurant that are good through September 30th. Also, $1 from each passport goes to the Spady Cultural Heritage Museum.
if you want to make a fun little staycation out of it, the Hyatt Place in the heart of downtown is offering an exclusive Tastemaker rate on a limited number of rooms of $89 a night, valid tonight through Sunday.
Also, Delray Subaru will have cars on hand to shuttle Tastemaker attendees back and forth between the restaurants. So, even if you get to stuffed to walk, you can still keep going - ah, America!
