Congratulations, you made it through yet another working week. You might as well give yourself a pat on the back to celebrate — or better yet, a drink or three. Whether you're looking to enjoy yappy hour with your dog, celebrate the full moon with an oceanside dinner party, or want to take a culinary tour through West Palm Beach's historic Northwood Village, there's something for you to do in South Florida this weekend.

Friday

Free Donut
Here’s some news that South Floridians can sink their teeth into: on Friday, June 5, Dunkin’ Donuts will be celebrating the National Donut Day holiday by offering guests a free donut of their choice (while supplies last) with the purchase of any beverage. The offer is good all day on June 5 at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants nationwide.

Pool Party: It's All Glow
The Pool, an interactive light installation located in downtown West Palm Beach, will continue its opening celebration tonight with a glowing pool party. Guests can dive into the fun as DJ’s spin favorite summer jams and lead poolside party games including glow cornhole, glow ping pong, glow hula hoops, and more. Then stop by your favorite downtown restaurant for drinks and dinner. The event is free to the public, and takes place from 7 to 11 p.m. For more information visit at wpb.org/events.

Karate Kicks Cancer
In support of the American Cancer Society, Zensekai Karate Kobudo Rengokai along with Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa, Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort & Spa, and Urgo Hotels and Resorts, will host a Karate Kicks Cancer event on June 5 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Marriott Pompano Beach. The Karate Kicks Cancer event will feature small bites from local guest chefs, including Larry LaValley, executive chef of 3800 Ocean at Marriott Singer Island, and cocktails from sponsors including Ty Ku Sake and Real McCoy Rum. A live band and DJ entertainment will keep the crowd on their feet, as well as a silent auction and karate demonstration. There is a $25 per guest suggested donation. All proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society. Karate Kicks Cancer is part of a two-day Karate Seminar honoring the late Sensei Jed Oyasato who lost his battle to cancer last year. Jurassic Night Food Truck Invasion

Palmetto Bay Village Center is once again hosting its summer food truck round ups, and the beautiful grounds will once again be home to plenty of live music and — of course — good food. Starting this week, these events will take place the first Friday of each month from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Parking is $5 per vehicle. Food trucks include Best Pasta, Chef Frank on the Road, Cold Stone Creamery, Da Burger Shack, Dolce Gourmet Cupcakes, Don Mofongo, El Orgullo Latino, Food Junkies, Granny Bz, Killer Melts, King of Racks BBQ, Las Gorditas, Lobsta Guy, Main Stop Grill, Miami Meatballers, Miami Pizza Truck, Monster Burgers, Palate Party, and more. Palmetto Bay Village Center is located at 8001 Old Cutler Rd #600, Palmetto Bay.

Full Moon Dinner Party
Legend has it, crazy things happen during a full moon. Want to find out? Partake in the excitement by joining us at The Atlantic Hotel & Spa for its Full Moon dinner party. Guests will feast on a three-course meal from Beauty & the Feast on the 5th floor Oceanfront Terrace before celebrating the night away. Relish the moment as you bask in the moonlight overlooking the ocean. The event begins at 7 p.m. No charge or RSVP required. Dinner is $39.95 per person. Call 954-567-8070, or visit society8.com.
Saturday

Boat Bar Crawl
Bar crawls are fun. Bus loops are even better. But come on. This is South Florida. We can do better than that. At least, that's the thinking behind Angel Sanchez's Vitamin C Nightlife and its new Fort Lauderdale boat bar crawl, a four-hour tour that takes patrons bar-hopping by boat to a number of waterfront restaurants. Every Saturday, starting June 6, a 35-seat water taxi will take willing patrons through a carefully planned tour of Fort Lauderdale's waterways, making four stops from 5 to 10 p.m. The boat bar crawl meets outside Briny Irish Pub on the New River and kicks off with a check-in beverage before the three- to four-hour voyage gets underway. Along the way, participants receive a free shot or drink at each location, as well as complimentary beer aboard the boat. To buy tickets visit boatbarcrawl.com, or call 786-838-1932.

Yappy Hour at Funky Buddha Brewery
With the dog days of summer almost upon us, what better way to cool down than with a dog-friendly "yappy hour" at Funky Buddha Brewery (1201 NE 38th St, Oakland Park)? This Saturday a $5 donation to Bull Terrier Rescue of Florida, Inc. will get you a wristband good for $1 off Funky Buddha drafts from 2 to 7 p.m. The event also features a splash pool, free treats for all dogs, and a hot dog eating contest for dogs starting at 5 p.m. A raffle will be offering great prizes, as well, including a bottle of Maple Bacon Coffee Porter, or a Stella & Chewy's gift basket. Buddha Beer Biscuits will be on sale, too: homemade dog treats made from Funky Buddha beer mash. Bull Terrier Rescue of Florida is a volunteer group with a mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home pure breed Bull Terriers that have been abandoned, surrendered, or found as strays. Bull Terrier Rescue of Florida solely relies on volunteers, and no one receives compensation for their time, so a helping paw is always appreciated.

Pop-Up Popsicles Cart
With the summer heat officially here, there aren't very many things that can help keep you cool quite like a popsicle. This weekend, head over to The Pop Up Cart at Whole Foods Market Fort Lauderdale (6451 N Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale) for a taste of something fresh and homemade every Saturday through the summer months. On June 6, it will be freshly-made "ague fresca" with flavors like watermelon, mango or cucumber mint. The cart serves customers from noon to 3 p.m.

Second Annual Art and Beer Fest
Join Tap Global Beer Collection (14813 Lyons Road, Suite 100, Delray Beach) for its 2nd Annual Art and Beer Fest this Saturday. Grab a free "passport" and "tour" the bar's selection of brews outside with its mini beer tent, while also enjoying an art show. The fun starts at 5 p.m., but get there early and enjoy a number of select draft drink specials.
