Friday:

Wines of Sardinia
You don't need to travel to Italy for a taste of Sardinia wine. Cafe Boulud (301 Australian Ave., Palm Beach) sommelier Mariya Kovacheva will be showcasing wines from the island along with a four-course dinner from Chef Rick Mace. Tarpon Bend’s Sweet 16 Anniversary Party
Tarpon Bend (200 SW 2nd St., Fort Lauderdale) is celebrating its birthday this Friday at 5 p.m. The occasion will take place in the form of a block party complete with drink specials and live music from Fuse, Rogue Theory and DJ Chaos. This event is free. Visit TarponBend.com.

Back to School Bonanza
You don’t have to be a kid to reap the benefits of back to school specials. From 12 until 2 p.m., Whole Foods Market (1845 Palm Beach Lakes Blvd., West Palm Beach and 2635 Florida 7, Wellington ] will be hosting a back to school party complete with free recipes, photo booth, ice cream sundaes and more. Taste & Tour Through the Generations
The Old Davie School Historical Museum (6650 Griffin Rd., Davie) will allow guests to try delectable local recipes during a simultaneous tour of historic homes and kitchens on the Old Davie School Campus. Stops include the 1912 Walsh home , the Viele kitchen and the 1909 Pioneer House. This food event starts at 11 a.m. and tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for seniors and children. Sunday:

Eat Your Drink: An Edible Cocktail Party 
Max’s Social House (116 NE 6th Ave., Delray Beach) will let you eat drinks this Sunday. How, you ask? With booze popsicles, gourmet Jell-o shots, “Harlem Shakes” and more edible cocktails. End of Summer Pig Roast
Oakland’s Funky Buddha (1201 NE 38th St., Oakland Park) ill be hosting a Pig Roast to celebrate the end of summer. On the menu include platters such as Doc Brown Ale slow roasted pig, Floridian marinated smoked jerk chicken quarters, sidecar crab cakes with Key Lime tartar sauce and more. Side include southern fried rice and poblano mac and cheese. Polish off everything with bread pudding with rum sauce. Visit FunkyBuddhaBrewery.com

National Rum Day
Get in touch with your inner Jack Sparrow with National Rum Day at Tap 42 (1411 S Andrews Ave., Fort Lauderdale and 5050 Town Center Circle, Boca Raton). The beer haven will feature locally crafted FWAYGO Rum from South Florida Distillers as well as cocktails made with made with FWAYGO Rum such as the Pineapple Express and a surprise craft cocktail. American Social Three-Year Anniversary
American Social (located at 721 E. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale) will be celebrating its three-year anniversary, and you know what that means: food discounts. From now until August 31, one of Fort Lauderdale’s newest bars will debut their limited edition “Three Cheers for Three Years” anniversary menu. Guests can enjoy a selection of two drinks and one appetizer for $20. For drinks, choose from Tito’s Strawberry Lemonade, Basil Smash, Not Your Father’s Root Beer Float, Pineapple Mint Caipirinha, and Ketel Blue Cosmo. For appetizers, choose from AMSO pretzel bites, truffle and wild mushroom, goat cheese croquettes, margherita flatbread, pikliz and pork tostones and Spinach and Artichoke Dip.
