The South Florida restaurant scene is heating up with an influx of activity this summer, and in an exciting twist, the buzz is no longer limited to the thriving downtown areas of Fort Lauderdale and Miami.

Restaurateur Luigi Carvelli, along with his family – the names behind DaVinci’s of Boca – are bringing a new Mexican-Spanish fusion concept to west Broward County. Now open at its flagship location in Coral Springs, the Feisty Bull offers a Latin-inspired menu.

"It will have a vibrant new place to enjoy authentic Latin flair and flavor," says owner Luigi Carvelli.

This week, the restaurant will celebrate its grand opening on Friday, August 14, with complimentary menu tastings, a themed margarita bar, live music by Latin band Mompirris, prize drawings, and an appearance by Nikki Ramirez from HITS 97.3. There will also be several giveaways, including a staycation at Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Beach and a round-trip vacation to Nicaragua.

At the Feisty Bull — which takes the place of Roc Resto Lounge at the Coral Square Mall — children can enjoy dressing up with special bullhorn hats and an interactive children's menu that includes a build-your-own taco platter.
The restaurant features earthy shades of red and orange reminiscent of the Mexican and Spanish cultures, complemented with wood accents and hints of lime green throughout. It seats 250 guests and 40 at three bars — both inside and out.

The menu includes fusion items like patatas bravas, fajita quesadillas, tableside guacamole, and tostones rellenos. Wash it down with a wide array of imported tequilas. There're even tequila and sangria flights.

There will be themed nights and weekly specials, including Margarita Mondays, Tapas and Tequila Thursdays, Flamenco Fridays, and Salsa Saturdays, along with live entertainment, traditional Latin performers, and DJ nights. Guests can also take advantage of the restaurant’s two-for-one happy-hour special Monday through Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. (or the reverse happy hour Sunday through Thursday from 10 p.m. to midnight) and a bottomless mimosa brunch on Sundays.

The place is located at 9225 W. Atlantic Blvd., Coral Springs. Call 954-232-1792, or visit thefeistybull.com. Hours are Sunday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to midnight and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Sunday brunch is served 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
