If you, like us, were still trying to wrap your heads around the mind-melting mashup of artists already topping the bill at Florida's latest music festival offering, Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival, launching this spring, you might not be prepared for this morning's third-wave lineup announcement. But here goes: Led Zeppelin legend Robert Plant and his Sensational Space Shifters have been added as headliners, along with smooth-as-hell hitmakers Hall & Oates and recently reunited '90s alt heroes Ween.
That's not to mention a whole bunch of crazy-good house and techno DJs from all over the spectrum now set to perform on the festival’s dusk-till-dawn Jungle 51 and underground Aquachobee Beach stages, including Crosstown Rebels label founder Damian Lazarus, DJ Three, Andrew Grant, Life on Planets, Jan Blomqvist, the Whitest Taino Alive, and more to be announced.
Also announced this morning are initial plans for the inaugural Okeechobee Fest PoWow!, which is set to become the festival's "signature tradition of thrilling artist collaborations and special performances." Produced by Paul Peck, creative mastermind behind some of Bonnaroo's most iconic SuperJams, this year's PoWow! features sultry R&B singer Miguel with "very special guests."

Says Peck of the collaborative festival feature: “We’re cooking up an historic concert, the kind where you don’t know who is going to walk out onstage or what will happen next." Past SuperJams produced by Peck have included Skrillex and Friends, the hip-hop SuperJam with RZA, Solange, Schoolboy Q and DJ Jazzy Jeff, the Derek Trucks SuperJam with Chaka Khan, and D’Angelo SuperJam with Questlove.
