If there is one thing most South Floridians can agree on, it's tacos. Yes, we all love tacos. Yes, our tri-county area offers some of the best tacos outside Southern Cali and Mexico. And yes, we want some right now — mainly because it's Taco Tuesday.

When it comes to Taco Tuesday, not all deals — or tacos — are created equal. Some places (like El Camino in Delray Beach) will peddle gourmet-style tacos for $2 apiece, while others (like Havana Hideout in Lake Worth) will offer all-you-can-eat deals for a flat price. If your taco spots aren't currently getting you the most bang for your buck, there's a new Taco Tuesday you should probably know about: the Nacho Bizness Taco Takeover at LauderAle nano brewery in Fort Lauderdale.

Let us first declare our appreciation for the expanded hours of operation at LauderAle, which began operating additional weekday hours starting December 1. According to brewer-owner Kyle Jones, the idea to open on Tuesday came out of a partnership with the Broward-based food truck that specializes in — of course — tacos.

"We weren't originally planning on opening Tuesdays, but we decided to test out a Taco Tuesday for a few weeks to see if there was any interest," says Jones, who expanded his taproom offerings from 12 to 18 taps in July in celebration of the brewery's one year anniversary. "In my opinion, there aren't many places in Fort Lauderdale where you can go to get a good Taco Tuesday deal and good beer. And now we've got some pretty damn good tacos, and some pretty damn good beer."

Since launching several weeks ago, Nacho Bizness owner Aaron Byers says his Taco Takeover at LauderAle has done so well, it's now become a permanent event, taking place every Tuesday from 4 to 11 p.m. That means you can get $1 off any taco on the Nacho Bizness menu, as well as $3 pours of LauderAle's El Nino, Heizenburg Heffeweizen, and Wooster White whit.

In addition to popular Nacho Bizness taco favorites like the Yum Yum, Byers says he will offer a few specialty dishes and limited edition desserts each Tuesday. Past weeks have included a lamb taco (and burrito), lump crab meat guacamole, and a fresh mango salsa. Upcoming featured desserts will highlight easy-to-eat options like Key lime pie shooters or Nutella-stuffed tortilla-styel crepes.

There's even a live mariachi band from 7 to 9 p.m., and $6 pours of LauderAle's homemade red wine sangria, in case you were wondering just how real this Taco Tuesday could get.

"Last week we had more than 200 people show up for this event," says Byers. "If things keep going this way, we're looking at making LauderAle our first permanent pop-up location. All we need is more love."

LauderAle is now open Tuesday and Thursday from 4 to 11 p.m.; Wednesday from 4 to 10 p.m., Friday from 4 p.m. to midnight; Saturday from 2 p.m. to midnight, and Sunday from 2 to 10 p.m. The Nacho Bizness Taco Takeover happens every Tuesday from 4 to 11 p.m., with food service beginning at 5 p.m.
