A new gastropub is coming to West Palm Beach. This August, Pennsylvania-based Table 95 Hospitality will be launching its popular gastropub concept, City Tap House, in CityPlace.
"City Tap has updated the gastropub experience," says CEO Chris Coco, who opened the first City Tap House in Philadelphia in 2010, followed by a second location in Washington, D.C. in 2013 and a third in 2014 in Philadelphia's Logan Square. "We have worked for years to bring City Tap to West Palm. We're looking forward to sharing our love for craft beer and our dedication to an unique culinary experience."
The first of several planned locations, the 12,000-square-foot West Palm Beach restaurant is slated to open Tuesday, August 3, in CityPlace.
The restaurant will have more than 40 taps along with a wide selection of bottled craft brews from local, regional, and specialty breweries. While their mission is to seek out the most innovative and exciting breweries available, City Tap will also offer craft cocktails and an international selection of wine.
Though craft beer is at the heart of the concept, according to executive chef Brian Stevenson, it's certainly not the only focus. The culinary team at City Tap will offer a menu of "refined American regional cuisine" that covers everything from artisanal brick oven pizzas and flatbreads to mussels served with hand-cut fries four different ways.
Signature menu items include small plates like the Ten Spice Wings served with a house blue cheese dressing alongside corn and crab hushpuppies with a citrus remoulade and honey-thyme butter; the $15 City Tap House black Angus burger with Vermont cheddar, pickled red onions, secret sauce, and hand-cut fries; and composed plates like the duck rice hot pot with crispy duck confit, English peas, carrots, sesame, and poached egg.
Daily happy hour specials include $1 raw oysters; weekend and late-night entertainment; and brewery-centric special events. The restaurant will be open from 4 to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 4 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday for the first several weeks. Moving forward, City Tap will serve lunch and dinner seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and brunch will be offered with unlimited champagne and a bloody mary bar on Saturday and Sunday.
