No. 62: Pastrami Sandwich from Primanti Bros.

The pastrami sandwich from Primanti Bros. is the creation your mother told you to never make: taking sliced meat and piling your side dishes on top to make the ultimate sandwich. While mother usually knows best, she was wrong about this one, kids.

Nationally recognized for their spots all around Pennsylvania, Broward County is the only other place in the country that houses Primanti Bros. restaurants. Really, you should be thankful. Nowhere else can you find sliced pastrami, cheese, coleslaw, onions, tomatoes and French fries in between two slices of Italian bread and believe it’s better than a sandwich at Primanti Bros. They’ve got other creations, too, including award-winning pizza. But there is something inherently blissful about stuffing your face with a Primanti Bros pastrami sandwich at 4 a.m. while recovering from a night of drinking debauchery down Fort Lauderdale Beach.

With three locations, including one that’s 24 hours, there is no excuse for not stopping by. Even mom would give in.
