They’re putting a little English on Wild Olives in the tony Shops at Boca Center, where celeb chef Todd English’s posh but under-achieving restaurant has already closed and next month is slated to move next door and become a nouveau pub called The English Tap & Beer Garden.
Not a lot of details on the coming change right now, but Charlie has a call into English’s marketing folks and will report back as soon as they get in touch.
In the meantime, though, perhaps a hint of what’s to come can be found in English’s Las Vegas watering hole, Todd English P.U.B. (Public Urban Bar), which combines a long list of craft beers on tap with a menu that juxtaposes burgers and wings with lobster pot pie, swordfish enchiladas and roster of rotisserie-cooked meats.
Oh, and the space that used to be Wild Olives? It will be Brio Tuscan Grill, the eighth South Florida outpost of the Ohio-based chain of Italian-esque eateries.
