When making a cake, there are required ingredients like eggs, sugar, butter, fireworks, and hydraulics. Well, those are the ingredients in Cake Boss Buddy Valestro’s gigantic robotic Transformers cake, made to celebrate the new movie Transformers:Dark Side of the Moon.
Modeled after “good” transformer Bumblebee, the cake depicts the robot morphing from a yellow Camaro.
The confection was too massive to be baked and assembled in Buddy’s Hoboken, New Jersey bakery (of which, by the way, I used to get cannolis from every Saturday) so he had to finish the one-ton baked good in a rented warehouse.
The finished product is impressive, with glowing eyes, moving wings and its own fireworks display. Take a look after the jump.
