This weekend, don’t forget to celebrate National Ice Cream Day.
In 1984, President Ronald Reagan designated July as National Ice Cream Month. But he didn’t stop there! He also declared the third Sunday in July to be National Ice Cream Day, as well.

That Sunday — July 17 — is upon us! So, whether you get it in a cup or cone, make sure to hit up your local ice cream shop as part of your national obligation to appropriately observe this sweet-ass holiday.
To honor National Ice Cream Day, Carvel is offering a free kid’s cone or cup.
But if you’re feeling more adventurous, make sure to head to Ritters in Margate, where you can get a free sample of any flavor frozen custard you desire.
